Most Internet web sites are written for a 800 x 600 screen resolution. The effect is that IF your screen is set to a 640 x 480 resolution, then the page you want to view is bigger than your screen, thus resulting in often annoying scroll bars at the bottom on you screen. To overcome this you should set your screen to at least a 800 x 600 resolution or maybe even higher.

Instructions

1. Go to your START MENU start menu

2. Choose SETTINGS settings  and then click on CONTROL PANEL control panel  - The CONTROL PANEL WINDOW will appear on your screen.

3. Double click on the DISPLAY icon display - The DISPLAY PROPERTIES BOX (the big box to the left) will open.

4. In the DISPLAY PROPERTIES BOX choose SETTINGS (or DISPLAY MODES if it IS available, if not then choose settings).

5. Use the slider bar to set your screen to 800 x 600 in the DESKTOP AREA. If there is NO option to set it to that resolution and you have a VGA (colour) screen, then set your COLOR PALETTE (next to the dektop area) to HIGH COLOR (16 bit) or TRUE COLOR (32 bit).

If you only have two options in that box ie 16 Color and 256 Color and you do have a Super VGA screen, then you screen setup wasn't done correctly by your retailer and you will need to install the correct drivers for your screen.

6. When your DESKTOP AREA is set to 800 x 600 click on APPLY and follow the on screen intructions...
